My music background:

I also produce and play music. My primary instrument is electric bass. After piano, the bass was the first instrument I played. I never learnt guitar before I played the bass so I consider myself a 'true' bass player. I was fortunate enough to be taught at the age of 15 by the late Phil Fuemana, an phenomenal multi-instrumentalist and exceptional bass player. I have played live in bands since my youth, covering all styles and genres of music, from dingy clubs with an audience of two, to big festival stages. Over the years I have played with Greg Fleming and The Trains, Bic Runga, The Earthlings, Damien Binder, Donald Reid, Ana Strong, The Earthlings, Readers's Wives, Real Fabrica, P.D. Corp and many more as well as guest spots and one-off projects. I currently play bass in Greg Fleming and The Trains along with John Segovia (guitar), Dom Blaazer (keys) and Earl Robertson (drums).

Aside from bass I have an unhealthy fascination with synthesizers, ranging from vintage analog to modern. This extends to music production in an electronic vein - club, soundtrack, remixes etc.

As Tomorrowpeople I have also put together remixes in a number of genres for various artists..

I also produce and record music with a small studio based around ProTools and Logic Pro - tracking, editing, sequencing, mixing, basic mastering. This includes music production and voice-overs/music beds for my TV ad production work.

Additionally I have organised and produced live shows for a number of bands I have been involved with, from small to large scale events.

My work with Greg Fleming and The Trains extends from a production role to playing live as a member of The Trains, creating artwork and music videos. Greg is an exceptional songwriter and performer with hundreds of songs to his name.

In 2013 I contributed keyboards to several tracks on Australian artist David Bridie's new album "Wake" (released June 2103). The album also features former Powderfinger guitarist Ian Haug, NZ artist Eden Mulholland, Ashley Naylor (Even, Paul Kelly Band), leading lady of The Bamboos Kylie Auldist, PNG-born singer Ngaiire, drummers Dave Folley and Michael Barker, Helen Mountfort on cello, John Phillips, Brett Adams and Rebecca Cosboom from Stripmall Architecture.
