New Album Art - After 'Ours "Odyssey"

I recently put together the artwork for the excellent new album from After 'Ours called "Odyssey".

Made-up of the duo Nick Williams and Michal Martynuik plus a host of top-shelf musicians such as Nathan Haines, Mike Pato and vocalists including Kevin Mark Trail (the Streets), Sharpen Hector (Basement Jaxx), Ange Saunders. The album is a fusion of contemporary jazz/soul/beats. Excellently produced and sounds top-notch.
Comes as a CD in a flexipak and also double 12" vinyl (available November) and of course digitally on Bandcamp etc.
The cover painting is by Jacek Martynuik and photography is by Mary-Anne Thompson and Mark Carter.

New Album Art - Dave Dobbyn "Harmony House"

Dave Dobbyn is one of New Zealand's most successful and admired songwriters. I had the pleasure to work with him once again for his new album "Harmony House".

Released on both CD and LP formats (as well as digital), the CD is housed in a gatefold cardboard sleeve and the LP is single 12" sleeve with a double-sided insert.
The illustration of the tree house is by Dave.
The front and back cover photography is by myself, the portrait of Dave is by Spid and the inside photos are by Dave, Sam Scott and Luke Buda.
The overall design was intended to be clean and simple.

Always great to work with Dave!

Diamond Field - Vehlinggo Podcast Interview

Andy Diamond from Diamond Field features on the new Vehlinggo Podcast for an in-depth interview about the Vehlinggo theme song (produced by Diamond Field) and the upcoming Diamond Field album. There's also a preview of a track from the album featuring the awesome Rat Rios.

Episode 102 features an extended interview with synthwave artist, producer, visual artist, and podcast host Andy Diamond (AKA Diamond Field). Features somewhat interesting monologues from Aaron and music by Nola Wren + Kill Dave, Symmetry (Italians Do It Better), Diamond Field, OGRE/Dallas Campbell, and a few more you'll have to discover via listening. Aaron and Andy discuss everything from the state of synthwave to the album he's working on, Donald Trump, FM-84, and how he made lemonade out of the lemon podcast theme song demo Aaron gave him. THERE'S ALSO A TEASER (FEATURING RAT RIOS) OF A CUT FROM DIAMOND FIELD'S FORTHCOMING ALBUM.

Living As Form

Proud to be associated with "Living As Form" – an exhibition of art from Oceania featuring Visesio Siasau, Serene Hai Thang Whakatau Tay and George Nuku now on show at ORA Gallery New York.

"Ora Gallery New York has been transformed by a potent collaboration of three artists of Oceania, all with strong bloodlines to Aotearoa New Zealand. Visesio Siasau, Serene Hai Thang Whakatau Tay and George Nuku are deeply committed to their practice as a process of shared creation and the diffusion of ideas through form. Their work embodies a meaningful exploration of life, spirit, earth and the whakapapa (genealogy) that connects us and all things."

Lynchland Members Mix #1

Available to stream now - the David Lynch - Lynchland Members Mix #1 featuring Diamond Field and the Black Lodge Girls (Lucy Black, Jazzi Marzcat and Havana Chase) with Chris Ward on sax, with a cover design by myself, featuring an original photograph I've always though was vey 'Lyncherian'.

The song's lyrics are by Havana Chase and are inspired by "A Real Indication” by Angelo Badalamenti And David Lynch From The "Fire Walk With Me" Soundtrack.

As Lynchland describes the compilation:

"A few weeks ago, we asked our members to share their musical creations with us (via www.fb.com/Lynchland). We didn't anticipate receiving such a positive response: about one hundred songs were submitted, and we had a very difficult time choosing only fifteen to appear in this first mix....

Thanks to John Fryer from This Mortal Coil, who submitted a fair amount of fantastic tracks for us to chose from; to Johan Reinholdz, from the great metal band Andromeda (www.facebook.com/AndromedaBand/); and to Kevin Wolzt, who helped with the sound design.

A special thanks to Andrew B. White, who created the cover art and appears in the mix as Diamond Field, a great synthwave project that we highly recommend."

Greenpoint Gallery Show

Four of my photographic works were part of the first Summer Salon show at Greenpoint Gallery, Brooklyn. The one-day show featured a number of artists over two levels with live music. It was a great night with some fantastic art.
