Miriam Clancy, Greg Fleming AND The Working Poor

Two new releases which I worked on album art for are out now.

Miriam Clancy is a US-based New Zealand artist and has just released her new album Astronomy, recorded in NYC and produced by Chris Coady (Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Zola Jesus, TV On The Radio, Beach House). Greg Fleming is an Auckland, New Zealand artist and Get Off At Lincoln was recored at Auckland’s Lab Studios with Ollie Harmer and Greg’s Working Poor band.

Trivia 1: Both cover images were shot by the artists themselves.

Trivia 2: I played bass for several years with Greg in New Zealand and also produced his 2012 album Edge Of The City which featured Miriam Clancy on BVs. On October 14th I’ll be playing bass with Miriam Clancy at Brooklyn’s Knitting Factory for the Astronomy release show! It’s all a big circle!

Astronomy is also available in CD format as a mini LP cardboard wallet.

Miriam Clancy 'The Bells' Single Release

I am ooking forward to playing with Miriam Clancy this Friday, August 16th at St. Mazie Bar & Supper Club, Brooklyn, for the release of her new single 'The Bells' from her forthcoming album “Astronomy”. The album (released September 27th) is a cracker and its awesome to play her songs. I'm a big fan. We may also throw in a few New Zealand cover tunes too…

St. Mazie Bar & Supper Club is located at 345 Grand St, Brooklyn, NY 11211

On Sunday October 29th I'll be playing as part of the Late Slip band for a pre-Halloween Sunday of rock'n'roll at Freddy's Bar and Backroom, Brooklyn.

Joining Late Slip on the bill is one of New Zealand's finest songwriters, Miriam Clancy now resident in NYC, showcasing songs of her forthcoming album (produced by Chris Coady (Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Beach House, TV On The Radio).
