Art Schop Album Release

I will be playing the release show for the new album from Art Schop - “Death Waits II”, Friday, March 15 at Nublu in the East Village.

“Death Waits II” was mixed produced by Martin G. Walker and the late Jimi Zhivago.
It was mixed by Bryce Goggin (Pavement, The Breeders, Sebadoh, Phish, Yo La Tengo) and mastered by Grammy-nominated mastering engineer Jessica Thompson.

Producer and multi-instrumentalist Jimi Zhivago passed away after a short illness in late 2018, not long after this album was completed. A great loss to all of those in his musical circle, his passing deeply affected many. Fittingly, the release show will also be a tribute to Jimi and his legacy.

The band features Martin G. Walker on vocals/guitar/keys, Cameron Greider on guitar (Chris Cornell, Natalie Merchant, Martha & Rufus Wainwright, Joan Baez, Sean Lennon, PM Dawn), Jack Petruzelli on guitar/keys (Patti Smith, Joan Osborne, Ian Hunter, Rufus Wainwright), Chris Heinz on drums and myself on bass.

Entry is free and special editions of the album will be on sale at the show.
Nublu is located at 62 Avenue C, New York, NY 10009

Matthew J. Ruys feat. Speech 'People X People' (Diamond Field Remix)

Out now - the Diamond Field remix of Matthew J. Ruys’ new single 'People X People' feat. Speech.

This remix takes us back to the 80s for a little of that Jimmy Jam/Terry Lewis Flyte Tyme sound. The remix version features a rap from Speech which is different to the single version.

DIMMER - I Believe You Are A Star

I recently worked with Dimmer to repackage their 2001 debut album “I Believe You Are A Star” for a vinyl release.

The album, on Sony Music, was not released on CD at the time.
In 2002 I was nominated for this album in the “Album cover of the Year” category at the New Zealand Music Awards.
For the repackage we were able retrieve the original digital art files from our archive so the repackage involved no re-scanning.
Photographer Mark Smith’s beautiful shots of Auckland’s Alexander Raceway look great at LP size.
We made a few other tweaks for the LP art and it came out great.

Limited quants of the LP are available via Flying Out
