Stan Mitchell’s regular “Local Vocal” evening at Brooklyn’s Bar Chord is on again this Thursday, September 13th.
Eight vocalists come together with a backing band to perform including Gene Casey, Vin Casey, Tricia Scotti, Late Slip’s Chelsea Nenni, José Joaquin Garcia, Joanna & Julia Barrett Mitchell, and the man himself, Stanley John Mitchell.

Album artwork for Nathan's Haines' album "Zoot Allure".
This album is a reworked version of Nathan's 2014 album "5 A Day" and the artwork also reflects this, being a reworked version of the original cover photo by Frederike Helwig.
Released on UK label Papa Records, the album also includes two remixes of 'Got Me Thinking' from Opolopo and Bugz In The Attic.

Late Slip played another great show at the Bowery Electric's Map Room on 8/16 for the regular "Shattered" party, with the Die Die Dies, South Carolina's Chrome Plated Apostles and Verona. DJ Miss Guy provided a great soundtrack to the night in between and sets and into the night.
I was lucky to play synth on 'New Connection', the brand new song from New Jersey artist Julez. The track was recorded at Brooklyn's Figure 8 Studios and produced/mixed by Sam Barna. The studio has some great vintage gear and for this track I used a Roland Juno 60, a patch I customized and recorded direct with no MIDI.

Check out the new music video for 'Good Fight' from Brooklyn-based band Star The Moonlight. Directed by Julia Barrett-Mitchell, 'Good Fight' is a multi-media collaboration from several artists including myself. I shot several scenes on the iPhone 7 Plus in 1080p 120fps slo-mo and compiled the spaceship-in-flight scenes using some still stock photos which were then animated in the Plotagaph app on iOS, imported in to Apple Final Cut X where clear-cut stills of the spaceship were added and animated, and finally some engine trails were rendered in Apple Motion and exported at 4K.
